Message-ID: <000501c7a666$4ef8ed40$820fa8c0@hrx.com.au> Hi Australian SCRUM Community, The University of Sydney is currently looking for a senior agile systems developer with experience in Xtreme programming, SCRUM or RUP methodologies to take up the position of Manager - Agile Systems to work within our ICT department.. I was hoping there might be someone here who could give me some advice on the best way to contact suitable individuals? The closing date for applications is the 14th June. If you think you can help me, or are interested in the details of the position, feel free to contact me (Kim Kiely) on 02 9561 9068 or k.kiely at usyd.edu.au. I know recruiters sometimes are frowned upon in mailing lists of this nature and didn't want to just post an advert without knowing if it is appropriate, any advice would be greatly appreciated. My fault, sorry. To rectify my oversight I've just put the following text on the home page of both lists. "This list is for the discussion of topics directly related to the use of the Scrum software development process. Advertising and spam are not permitted." You can see it at: http://lists.scrum.com.au/mailman/listinfo/scrum-announce http://lists.scrum.com.au/mailman/listinfo/scrum-discuss (Note: Anyone wishing to unsubscribe can do so at the above pages.) New subscriptions to the list are taken on face value. I'd rather not have to interrogate new subscribers before accepting their subscription. However, repeat offenders can be unsubscribed and blacklisted. While job ads might seem relevant, it's a slippery slope. Ads asking for "experience with XP, Scrum or RUP" are quite common, but they are really jobs for agile, maybe. I cannot recall seeing an ad specifically for Scrum. This list is run for the community so if anyone has any objections to any of the above, or suggestions on how to improve it, please let me know. It's your list.
